Watching a loved one slip away, man. That’s one of the toughest things to do in life. Wishing you could do something, but it’s out of your hands. This is me right now. I’m the helpless bystander. But I’ve put my faith in God and trust that everything will be all right.
My husband is declining rapidly. He has FTLD, a form of dementia that takes away his frontal and temporal lobes (cruelly he has comprehension but no ability to communicate his thoughts) and another fairly rare autoimmune issue called Myasthenia Gravis, which prevents nerve messages from reaching the muscles, rendering him nearly paralyzed at times. As well as Parkinson’s disease. This man was rarely ill his whole life, then BOOM! They all raised their ugly heads at the same time.
I have tried to help him, but he won’t let me. It’s weird – he believes in what I do, and is amazed at the results on myself and others, yet he won’t allow me to help him. It could be one of his diseases causing him to back away, but more likely he thinks he’ll lose control if he lets me into his subconscious. I have assured him I cannot read minds and I’m not psychic, but he put up blocks. He doesn’t want to be “rewired”.
So now I get to watch him fade away, day by day, hour by hour. It’s devastating, but I remind myself that I didn’t cause this, there’s nothing I can do about it, and it’s all in God’s hands.
Fortunately, helping my clients replenishes my soul! Hearing how they feel so much better gives me strength. The Body Code is the most wonderful thing I have ever experienced and I will continue to practice it as long as I possibly can. I know that it saved my life (for now, 😉 we all have to go home sometime) and has helped many others as well. I’m so grateful for the gift of the Body Code!
If you’re going through difficult times too, allow me to offer you a free 20-minutes consultation as an introduction to the Body Code and me. I would be honored to join you on your path to better health. Click below to schedule your appointment.
Peace and happiness to you all.
